Your equid is fearful or feral…
What Now?

How would you feel if…

  • You could reach out to touch your equid for the first time–and they met you halfway

  • Your equid ran to meet you at the gate every day instead of running for the hills

  • Leading them became effortless, even without a halter and lead

  • They stood calmly and willingly for necessary hoof care and grooming

  • People in your circle admired the bond you share with your equid.

…But because your equid is deeply fearful, you have a handful of unique challenges:

  • You can’t get within ten feet of them

  • They avoid you–or even panic–whenever you step into their pen

  • Your equid runs away at the mere sight of the halter

  • They’re so afraid of humans, not to mention the vet and farrier, that giving them the care they need feels impossible

  • Other people are telling you that you’re in over your head… and you should get rid your equid

But you don’t want to give up on them…

If you’re in this position, you probably feel stuck and confused about how to connect with your equid. Thankfully…

There is a solution.

Hi! I’m Michelle, and I’ve created a program for guardians of fearful and feral equids that takes them from being unable to get within 10 feet of their equid– to building a trusting relationship and handling their equids with ease.

I’ve developed and refined this process over the past decade.

Ten years ago, I was a full-time dog groomer and had just finished a year-long positive reinforcement-based dog training program…. When something unexpected happened.

A colleague commented that she couldn’t catch or touch her Mustang, Shelby. That’s when I suggested we try applying the same principles I had learned through the dog training program—and it worked! Within 30 minutes, Shelby was following me around and letting me touch her face.

In that moment, I discovered my true calling.

I knew I was onto something and wanted to help more people with equids like Shelby.

Since that first ah-ha moment, I have…

  • Successfully helped five previously fearful and feral zebras to feel confident and sociable. I was even told by the owner of one of the zebras that their USDA inspector said she was the “friendliest zebra he had ever met.”

  • Been told that the Mustang I was working with would “never be better than he is now.” Then, I had him approaching and interacting with me within an hour.

  • Helped a student of mine train her Appalachian brumby to willingly place his foot on a hoof stand for trimming–all while at liberty.

  • Worked with over 30 students and equids with consistently phenomenal results

Now, I know precisely how to guide people to build trust and confidence in their fearful and feral equids.

I’m here to help you transform your relationship with your equid so that you finally feel safe, connected, and confident together.
